The moderators of this forum will try hard to edit or remove reprehensible messages as soon as possible. However, it is impossible for them to review all the messages. You thus admit that all the messages posted on this forum express the sight and opinion of their respective authors and not those of the moderators or the Webmaster (except messages posted by them) and consequently, they cannot be held responsible of the discussions.

- Aggressive or slanderous messages, as well as personal insults and critics, the coarseness and vulgarities, and more generally any message contravening the French laws are prohibited.

The guidelines below are designed to clarify variousresponsibilities of community members (users) here at http://kjvcforum.editboard.com/faq.htm.  Please read and become familiar with them.

Board-wide Rules and Regulations

A) Registration is required in order to post on this board.

B) Posts are to be made in a relevant forum. Usersare asked to read the forum descriptions before posting. Usersconsistently posting to the wrong forum may be given a warning.

C) Users should post in a way that is respectfulof other users. Flaming or abusing users in any way will not betolerated and will lead to a warning.

D) Users are asked to not act as "back seatmoderators". If members note an issue which contravenes something inthese guidelines they are welcome to bring it to the attention of aModerator. Only do this if a moderator has not replied to the postwithin 6 hours. Users who consistently "act" as moderators may bewarned.

E) Users should remember this board is aimed at ageneral audience. Posting generally offensive text, images, links, etc.will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning.

F) Users are asked to respect the copyright ofother users, sites, media, etc. Users linking to or asking forinformation on such material without permission will receive a warningand their post will be removed.

G) Users should respect the bandwidth of otherusers and sites. The use of inline image tags pointing to data storedon third party systems for which the user has not received permissionto link to may be removed.

H) Users should post in a way which is consistentwith "normal writing". That is users should not post excessive numbersof emoticons, large, small or colored text, etc. Similarly users shouldnot SHOUT or use excessive punctuation (e.g. ! and ?) in topic titlesor posts. Users consistently abusing this will be warned.

I) Users should use an appropriate, specific,descriptive title when posting a new topic. Examples of good titlesinclude; "How do I start a batch culture", "I�m having problems with mygram stains", etc. Examples of bad titles include; "Help me!", "Mybug!", "I've got a question!", etc.

J) Spam is not tolerated here under anycircumstance. This includes offering company services, equipment andsupplies, soliciting employment, offering employment opportunities,chain letters, etc. Users posting spam will be warned and their postremoved.

K) The moderating, support and other teams reservethe right to edit or remove any post at any time. The determination ofwhat is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in thesepoints is up to Team Members and not users.

Signatures

I) Signatures may contain up to five lines (oneline being that displayed on a browser opened to 800 pixels width) oftext (of small or normal size) and/or one image. Image size should beno larger than 234 pixels wide, 60 pixels high and 5kb in size.

II) Letter sizes should be between 9 and 12 points(small and normal). Text in signatures is subject to the sameconditions as posts with respect to decency, copyrights, emoticons,etc.

III) Links are permitted in signatures. Such linksmay be made to personal web sites, commercial ventures, etc. Links areincluded within the text and image limits above. Links to offensivesites may be subject to removal.

IV) Users abusing these rules will be warned.


Warnings and Bans

1) Users will be warned at least once for a particular offence before being banned.

2) The moderating, support and other teams reserve the right to temporary or permanently ban an offending user at any time.

3) Users who feel they have been unfairly warnedor banned are welcome to contact the Moderator team leader. If theModerator team leader feel you were treated badly they will remove awarning or ban. If you feel the Moderator team leader is also unfairyou may contact a Moderator group member. However, a decision at thislevel is final. Contacting Moderator group members over warning mattersshould be done so as a very last resort ... group members do not wantto be bothered unless vital.

4) Any attempt to circumvent a temporary ban willlead to that ban being made permanent. Circumvention includesre-registering under a non-banned username, changing IP addresses toevade an IP ban, registering a new email account to evade an email ban.

5) Permanent bans are a last resort and thought is given before implementing them.
