UCSI DOTA Competition!!!

ITSA of UCSI campus will be organizing a DOTA (Defense of The Ancients- WarCraft III) competition that will be held at Block A and I am inviting all players to join this competition, great prices awaits!! Members can contact me or ITSA committee members for more details, this competition is organized by Michael and I hope members would support this!! Come and join the fun!~ ^^Hurry up!


REGISTRATION DATE FOR PARTICIPANTS
Date : 11/3/08 - 14/3/08 (Tue-Fri )
Time : 10am -4pm
Venue : Block A

DOTA COMPETITION PERIOD
Date : QUALIFYING ROUND = 17/3/08 - 18/3/08 ( Mon & Tues )
SEMI-FINALS = 19/3/08 ( Wed )
FINALS = 21/3/08 ( Fri )

*20th March is PUBLIC HOLIDAY
Time :10am -4pm
Venue : Block A

I know how to play a little...too bad the game is only in KL.....

what kind of events are there...? team of 5? i dun feel like entering team games la.... :|

Haiz... I'll like to join but i a a total noob in DOTA...
If play with pro, i'll be feeder already...

Nope, its a team group, because its hard when you play single with other players and it consumes time, so we will set it to 3 members per group. It would be fun it 3v3 ^^

DoTA competition updates!! Its based on a group/team gameplay, 3 members in one group. The participation fee is RM30, so each RM10. The prices will be announced soon!
Note: It is open to all UCSI students and Staffs, but sadly outsiders cannot join in because it is a inter-campus competition.

General Gaming Rules:

- Before the participant joins the competitions, he/ she have to form a group. One group only consists of 3 participants and they have to name their group.

- In order to join the competition, every group has to pay an amount of money of RM 30.00 which will be collected during registration and it is NOTREFUNDABLE.

- Every participant has to obey the rules of the games given by the organizers

- The Organizers have a right to change the rules of the game without prior notice

- Every participant must respect each other during the competition. Fighting, cheating, and bad words are strictly not allowed.

- Besides the organizers, every participant is responsible to take care of the computers. Use the monitor, andkeyboard wisely.

- All participants are encouraged to bring their own mouse for better usability ( optional )

interesting... team of 3 eh... did they mention game mode? is it -ar or -ap o_o
if -ap i can consider joining... so sad though outsiders cannot join =.=

May I know which map are going to use?

And will there be any rules of banning 3 hero from each side?

probably 6.51 =.= anything less would be stupid....
i hope they dun ban heroes though...

Using an unstable map is even stupid compare to using older and stable map.

Hero banning is decided by both team when they start playing.

6.51 is unstable with lag spikes... but they will probably use it as it is the newest... and this is not a league game...
but i do strongly recommend they use 6.48b... (house88kend please try to recommend to the commitee XP)
otherwise... i suppose they will use 6.51 and ban invoker due to lags -.-

Thanks for the info, I will try to inform them, as to reduce problems and heros choosing problem, I will post the answer as soon as possible!

When is the registration date? Tomorrow issit? I will gather my friends and join the competition!!! Wakakaka!!!!See you all at Block A!!!

Hahaha, don't worry, just participate and I am sure you will enjoy the game!Its not to loose or to win, its to enjoy and to see that UCSI is capable of having great players! ^^ you might as well as making new friends!

The DoTA competition is now officially opened to all outsiders~!~ So to all members, please call and invite your friend and register at the ITSA booth now!

Be sure to be quick and fast (The deadline is this Friday-15/03/2008)

Well, house88kend told me that he ain't in charge of managing that list of people who joined this competition... maybe he can ask for it?

Greetings to everyone....Yes thats right...the DOTA competition would be great especially to UCSI students...mind you, its the first time that UCSI would be organizing this event..so UCSI students, be hyped up...support each other :)

**Registration period will be until FRIDAY (14/3/08)...Hurry! Hurry! Limited groups will be allowed to participate in this event...

P/S : We would seek for improvements and definitely would intend to have future advancements .... :)...Do bring your friends and spread the news especially to UCSI architecture and engineering students...Hope that they are aware of this as the registration booth is in Block A of South Wing...God bless... :D
